2025 Paraoptometric of the Year - Gabriella Heriven, CPO
The Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians (OAOP) is proud to name Gaby Herriven, CPO, as the 2025 Paraoptometric of the Year. This annual award honors an outstanding paraoptometric professional who demonstrates excellence in patient care, leadership, and service to the profession.
Gaby serves as the Office Integrator at Eye Care of Claremore, where she is a vital member of a collaborative and passionate team. Over the past three years, she has earned her Certified Paraoptometric (CPO) certification, trained new staff, and taken on a wide range of responsibilities—from assisting with clinical care to handling optical tasks and even fixing equipment. Known for her flexibility and dedication, she has become affectionately known as the “chief fix-it officer” of the practice.
“Gaby brings energy, care, and professionalism to everything she does,” said OAOP Executive Director Joel Robison. “She represents the very best of what paraoptometrics bring to our clinics and our patients.”
In response to the honor, Gaby said, "I’m incredibly honored to receive this award. Working as a vision care professional has allowed me to make a real difference in people’s lives, and I’m grateful every day to be part of this team. I’ve grown so much in this profession, and I hope to inspire others to keep growing, too."
The OAOP commends Gaby Herriven for her extraordinary service and thanks her for the compassion and expertise she brings to Oklahoma optometry.
