2026 Paraoptometric of the Year - Brandy Cary, CPO
The Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians (OAOP) has named Brandy Cary, CPO, of Tuttle as the recipient of the 2026 Paraoptometric of the Year award. The award recognizes a paraoptometric who demonstrates outstanding professional leadership as well as service to patients. Paraoptometrics are health professionals who assist optometric physicians in providing high levels of vision care to patients.
Ms. Cary has been a vital member of Tuttle Family Eyecare for more than twelve years, where she plays an integral role in patient care across a wide range of services, including diagnostic testing, surgical coordination, and post-operative care. She is especially passionate about helping patients succeed with contact lenses and experience clear vision for the first time.
Originally from Newcastle, Ms. Cary began her career in pediatric nursing after earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Oklahoma before transitioning into optometry. She became a Certified Paraoptometric in 2014 and is an Associate Member of the American Optometric Association. She is known for her commitment to lifelong learning and her compassionate approach to patient care.

She represents the very best of what paraoptometrics bring to patient care.”
Ms. Cary and her husband, Randy, have been married for 33 years and have built a loving family that includes their two sons, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter.
