Dr. Kyle Tate Named 2020 Young Optometric Physician of the Year


Dr. Kyle Tate, owner of Insight Eyecare in Glenpool and Jenks, is the winner of the 2020 Young Oklahoma Optometric Physician of the Year award. Dr. Tate earned his Doctorate of Optometry from the Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry, where he served as president of the student association and, in 2011, was inducted into the NSU Hall of Fame. After earning his degree, Dr. Tate performed his residency in ocular disease at Eyecare Associates of South Tulsa and later completed a fellowship through the American Academy of Optometry. He went on to found Insight Eyecare, which opened its first offices in Glenpool in 2011 and opened a Jenks location in 2019. Dr. Tate leads the association's Public Relations Committee and serves on both the State Legislative and Political Action Committees. In his spare time, he enjoys restoring old cars, spending time on the water, hunting, farm work and being with family.
