Optometry Day at the Capitol

Join us for Optometry Day at the Capitol on Thursday, February 11, 2027, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. The day's events will begin with a welcome from our President, CEO, and lobby team along with an update on legislative issues facing our profession. 

After the discussion, we will divide into groups to meet with every Senator and Representative. Each group will have at least one experienced member, and we will do our best to pair legislators' visits with doctors from their respective districts. Following the office visits, please return to the meeting room for lunch and a debrief, offering a chance to connect with peers and advocates. 

This event offers a vital opportunity for us to advocate for Optometry with a united voice and influence legislation that impacts our profession. We will also be joined by students from the Oklahoma College of Optometry, providing a chance to mentor future leaders and strengthen our advocacy efforts.
