Optometry Day at the Capitol

Join us for Optometry Day at the Capitol on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. The day's events will begin at the OAOP Office located at 4850 N Lincoln Blvd in Oklahoma City, where we will discuss legislative issues and updates.

After the discussion, we will divide into groups and drive to the Capitol to meet with Senators and Representatives. Each group will have at least one experienced member, and we will do our best to pair legislators with doctors from their respective districts.

This event provides an opportunity for us to advocate for Optometry with a united voice. We will also be joined by students from the Oklahoma College of Optometry.

At 11:30 a.m., you are welcome to return to the OAOP office for lunch and a debrief. If you cannot return, we will provide you with a form to complete and report back to the staff.
