This program will equip you with skills to expand your optometric knowledge or become a Certified Paraoptometric (CPO). Attendance does not oblige you to take the exam, but it will enhance your preparation and confidence if you choose to pursue certification in the future. This course is limited to 30 staff members.

Topics include:

  • Anatomy & physiology of the eye, common eye disorders, terminology, pharmacology
  • Clinical Principles & Procedures: eye examination, refractive status, contact lenses, blood pressure
  • Ophthalmic Optics & Dispensing: RX writing, ophthalmic lenses, techniques
  • Professional Issues: Practice Management, Business Skills

Registration Rate: AOA Member $35, Non-AOA Member $50

Printed Lecture Notes (Optional): $35

The lecture notes will be emailed in advance. It is recommended that you print a color copy and bring it to the event.
