Paraoptometric Appreciation Month - September
Paraoptometric appreciation month is an opportunity to recognize optometry staff for their value to the practice's success.
It is the only formal observance in the nation specifically intended to honor optometric staff. Doctors are encouraged to be creative in planning their recognition of staff.
Paraoptometric of the Year Award
The paraoptometric of the year award is presented yearly at the OAOP Vision Summit in the spring. The winner will receive a plaque and a $200 check from the OAOP during the annual awards banquet.
The nominations are open to all optometric staff of OAOP members and do not require a certification for consideration. If you would like more information on how to nominate a paraoptometric, please email awards@oaop.org.
